Beth Ames Swartz

American painter and mixed-media artist. Swartz studied at Cornell University. Her art centers on the myths of different cultures.She uses word and/or myth-like visual elements from many philosophic and religious systems including Native American healing practices, Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism, the I-Ching, Jewish mysticism as taught in the Kabbala, and the chakra system of Hinduism.
