Abraham and the Three Angels; The Binding of Isaac

On the left: Abraham stands and serves his three seated guests. The three angels, who resemble each other, are crowned with haloes. In front of them are three loaves of bread. Sarah peaks in disbelief from the darkened entrance of the house.
On the right: Abraham lays his hand on Isaac’s head as he raises a sword in preparation of sacrificing his son. Isaac is portrayed as a small boy crouching on an altar, his hands and legs tied. The hand of God appears from the clouds and orders Abraham to stop. Beside Abraham stands the ram, which will be sacrificed instead of Isaac.
