Three scenes from the Scroll of Esther: On the right, Queen Esther sits beside King Ahasuerus, who gives a messenger the order to exterminate the Jews, while Haman looks on from behind. On the left, Mordecai, mounted on the king’s horse, is led through the streets of Shushan by Haman. In the center, four toga-clad citizens applaud Mordecai.
