Jacob and the Angel
Artist name: Benn (Bencjon Rabinowicz)
Jacob wrestles with a large, winged angel. The angel’s lack of facial features indicates his existence on the border between the abstract-heavenly dimension and the earthly-tangible one. Jacob seizes the angel’s shoulders whereas the angel grasps Jacob’s hips. During the fight the two almost unite into one.
