On the left, Job sits on a stone, in contemplation. His wife stands near by, covering her nose. Between them stands a human figure, representing Satan. To the right, Adam and Eve stand from on either side of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, at the foot of which the tail of the serpent winds.
