The Great Haywain Triptych :Garden of Eden

Proceeding from top to bottom, God sits enthroned in heaven while winged figures descend toward the earth. God in a red robe blesses Eve, kneeling behind the still sleeping Adam. In the center of the panel a human headed serpent offers Adam and Eve a second fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Below, a sword- wielding angel ejects the angered Adam and the shamed Eve from the Garden
