King Saul, haloed and sitting on a throne in Roman robes, is attended by bodyguards and an advisor. Beneath him are two bags and a basket, the reward for defeating Goliath. David, a young lad with a halo, stands before Saul and volunteers to fight Goliath, as Saul gestures in blessing.
