The Sacrifice of Jephthah’s Daughter

Artist name: Soldani-Benzi Massimiliano

Jephthah raises his sword (lost) above his daughter, who sits upon the altar with her head bent back. Above her stands a sorrowful-looking hooded woman who holds her in her arms. Behind appear a sword, armor and a helmet hanging on a barren tree.
